"学習" では外国の方向けのイントロにしております(簡単な英文ですので、英語の読解にどうぞ)。 ここは50音・ローマ字の説明です。 外国の方から日本語について質問されたときは、全角文字ひらがな漢字ではなく「半角英数字のローマ字」でお願いします。

When you read a Japanese document, probably you will find letters like below [tab. 2 - 1,2,3] in it.

[tab. 2-1] Alphabet

These are 2bytes hi-ra-ga-na. 2bytes hi-ra-ga-na make it easier for Japanese people to read, because sentences written in 2bytes, say "ko-nn-ni-ti-wa", costs less letters than sentences written in 1byte, "ko-nn-ni-chi-wa", as you see. 1byte hi-ra-ga-na may be called "Roman Japanese" in order to distinguish from 2bytes hi-ra-ga-na.

But you need not to use 2bytes hi-ra-ga-na. Most of Japanese people who use computers can write roman Japanese. So they will talk to you in roman Japanese, if you ask them.
